Neurological Emergencies – EMT

Presents altered mental status, including its causes and signs and symptoms. Presents seizures and their causes. Demonstrates assessment and care of seizures, including signs and symptoms and the kind and stage of seizure involved. Describes ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke as well as transient ischemic attack and their causes. Demonstrates how to assess and provide emergency care for a stroke patient, including how to position the patient.
